Getano is a professional, accomplished, entertainer, registered music therapist and song writer with well over 25 years experience as a performer. In his own words "A Narrator of Life Stories".

Based in Brisbane Queensland, Australia, Getano over the course of his extensive artistic career has been a professional dancer, choreographer, director, producer, musician, singer, song writer, actor, story teller, and to add some more a television presenter, model, stage manager and public speaker.

This is just the artistic side of this amazingly talented, complex and gifted artist. If we explore the assorted non-artistic side of Getano, then we find an experienced trochuses shell diver, youth worker, Public Servant in the Arts, railway worker and Community Development Officer. Getano is a man of substance with an abundance of skills, talents and knowledgeable.

"My first love has always been music, from my first breath of life, My mother would often say before Getano could speak, he sang", those prophetic words still ring true to this day as Getano continues to live, love and share his passion and joy of music with everyone he encounters.

This website is an opportunity for you to be introduced to and learn a little about a truly remarkable, gifted and inspirational artist who lives and breaths his craft. "My talent is a gift from above and a testament to my Mothers own aspiration of wanting to be a singer, but because of her broken tongue or accent (English was her third language) her beautiful singing voice was not appreciated by people outside of the Torres Strait Islander community".
